Idea! Could be important!

Unread postby RaptorRaider » Sat, 20th Nov 2010 19:05

Alright, so I've been thinking a lot about Tyrannosaurs having a baby in the game.
And it got me thinking... since we can make Tyrannosaurs pack by changing t-class,
why not take a Dilophosaurus or an Albertosaurus, re-skin it so that it looks like
a baby Tyrannosaurus and then multi-skin that into their respective digsites,
create a copy model of the dinosaur with it's .ini and what have you, then change
the t-class of the "baby" to the same one as the Tyrannosaurs?
Since we use Carcha for Tyrannosaurs to pack normally, why don't we change theirs to Carcha also?
I have a feeling that due to the size in the .ini of the "baby"s unit file,
it would still be attacked, BUT, if you increase the size,
not only will it attack large carnivores, it would stay with it's respective parents?
I also have a feeling that this has been suggested before and maybe I'm off my rocker
but it's worth a shot? Please reply with your thoughts, I feel like I made a breakthrough for realism
but I also think I made myself look like a fool for suggesting something that might have already been suggested?

P.S. If you do this and it works, please give credits to me...

You can delete those ''little extra things'' by editing the skin... :D

The model is transparent, so you would end up with a hole on each side of it's head.

Well in my opinion there as a baby rex mod and baby allo mod out and the two models don't seem to have any holes in the side of their heads.

Two words: Poop mod. The only mod known to make enormous dryosaurs or tiny brachiosaurs. Either that, or you were dreaming. Any model with removed features will ALWAYS have a hole in it, though it's sometimes possible to hide it.

Not true, if you would edit the model ( ;) ) you could simply shrink the "things" to an invisible size.

The only way to edit a model is by replacing a part of it's body with another animals.

That's not true. there are four parts called "Neck_Fan01", "Neck_Fan02", etc. If one would edit those (should be pretty easy), the frill would be gone, without creating holes in the neck. I'll look into it right now :amused:.
