BETA testers NEEDED for TML Tools V2!

Unread postby MastaFoo69 » Wed, 18th Sep 2013 19:01

Hello everyone! I've created this thread for two reasons;
1) To let you guys know that the TML Tools V2 project is not DOA, and that I've been hard at work implementing new features like 1024x1024 skin support and suppor for the people and vehicle tmls (also with hi Res support)

2) to ask for help. I don't have the time to do tons of rigorous testing, and I would like to know if anyone here would like to beta test it for me. If you do, post an application here with some proof that you know how to skin, and ill get back yo you! Cheers and thank you in advance

I'm no stellar artist, but that sounds like something I could do. (I've never skinned vehicles, though. I assume the program simplifies the progress of implementing their skins as well?)

Well, the people and vehicle modules are not complete, but if you would like to test to make sure that the program is assembling the dinosaur .tml files correctly, and correctly applying 1024x1024 resolution skins, that would be a huge help. Tell me here if you do, ill pm a link with the current build, and once the other modules are done, I'll pm the updated versions to you as they happen.

Sure thing. I've always wanted to try my hand a 1024 skin, but I never got around to it. This could be a nice exercise, AND I get to be a good citizen.

Hi :)

You should add better than 1024x1024 too not only 1024x1024 :evil: here is the link (what you need: the skins headers for 1024 and up in resolution "8192x8192 max" ) : http://www.jplegacy.org/board/showthread.php?t=24334

hope i have helped you :x3:

Yes, Im aware of this. however, anything bigger than 2048x248 (which the final version will support) will start impacting RAM. furthermore, there are not very many people willing to put the time into 8192X8192 skins I contemplated it for a while, but decided against it. maybe in a future release if there becomes a demand for it :p
