Tips : How to change the language in JPOG

Unread postby Dimega » Thu, 19th Jun 2008 1:29

Hi,

i find a solution to change the game in any language you want, of course if it's supported by jpog.

To do this, go to Locales folder wich is C:\Program Files\Universal Interactive\Blue Tongue Software\Jurassic Park Operation Genesis\JPOG\Data\GUI delete all .txt files except the language wich you want to play and Locales file too. Then rename your language file to your original game. Example if your game was in English rename your file Eng or ger if it was in german.

I know that most people play in English but some like me prefer play in other language ; P

That's it and enjoy !

Or you could just move the files instead of deleting them. :)

Check the registry if you have "locale" string in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARES\BTS\JP

I can change the language setting of my JPOG via registry, without touching the files.

Warning: Take great care in the registry because one mistake could prevent the computer coming on again, forcing you to get a new hard drive. Only go in the registry if your sure what you have to do and double check every change you make. Do not mess around with the registry.

Access your registry by running REGEDIT from the run command, located on an XP start menu.

Here is a screenshot that show you which string to change the language settings. The locales available can be found in your JPOG\Data\GUI\Locales\Locales.txt

Hint: The problem's somewhere between the keyboard and the chair, not the OS ;)

By default, it should rest in c:\Files and programs (x86)\Universal <something>
