I have a problem, and I currently can't afford to get a new graphics card. My JPOG game is laggy and it flickers like crazy! Especially during the Map Creation. The game play without any unsual crashes, except for the regular random crashes.

Have you turned the graphics down. When/if you get a new graphics card, turn the graphics up.

I just got a new pc with Windows 7, and I can't seem to edit any values in the program files.

If it's anything like the issue with Vista, just cut/copy the files that you want to edit, paste them somewhere else, and do the editting. Then, when you want to put them back, delete the original files (if you haven't done so already), then paste the new files in.

I assume you've backed up all your files before hand though. ;)

Thanks integrity, long time no see. lol. It worked. This might be a little bit annoying after a while, it makes it a longer process than it should be. lol

Yeah, I haven't been on in a while.

It is terribly annoying to do it every time, but I don't think there's a way around it, unless you perhaps remove the Administrative controls...? I think I've done it before somehow, but I can't remember anymore. =(

OK I just changed some values to keep my kentro from freaking out around the ouranosaurus, but I can't seem to find the right value. I did the large and medium herd threat to 0

Hi, I'm new, I just re-installed JPOG (Got my copy back in '03, and it's scratched up, but it works)

On my broken laptop that had XP, it worked fine...

But on my Vista when I start Operation genesis or a exercise I get this,

(SimJP has stopped working)

I don't understand why? Can somebody help me?

At what point in time does this occur? Is it on start-up, or when you try to run a game, or what?
I don't really JPOG anymore... But I do YouTube! Check it out, if ya have some free time and wanna see some s#!ts and giggles! :D

It's when I start a new island on the loading screen, or when I start an exercise on a load screen, missions work fine, though.

What mods do you have installed (if any)? Have you edited any of the game-files yourself? Have you tried a reinstall? Have you tried changing the screen-resolution/graphic effects in Setup.exe?

If you could answer those questions, I might be able to help you out :amused:

I haven't done anything to it except put the game into 34 bit mode.

Ok, first, just try reinstalling - you never know, the game may have just accidentally forgotten to install something. If the problem persists, could you tell me, when the loading bar is showing, exactly how far does it get before crashing out (i.e. halfway or 3/4s) and could you try to get a pic of it before it crashes please? This way, we can work out which files have gone awry (I do intend to create a topic about this in the near future, but, as of yet, I'm too busy :lul: ) anyway, if you could try the above, I think we'll be able to sort you out :D

I re-installed, and it stops working even earlier now.
The bar goes about 30-35% before giving out

I can't get pictures when I'm playing the game, prtscn just won't work on it for some odd reason.

But still, it aggravates me to no end that it worked fine on my now broken laptop, but it just won't work on my PC.
